Klinsmann wants to be more competitive than 'first win'...Mexico and 'A match in England in September'

 Jürgen Klinsmann's (GER) men's national soccer team will likely face North and Central American powerhouse Mexico in England in September.


"The Mexican national team will play Saudi Arabia and South Korea in England during the September A matches," Mexican media outlet Hecord reported recently. 


After playing Colombia (2-2 draw) and Uruguay (1-2 loss) in March, Klinsmann's team played Peru (0-1 loss) on the 16th and El Salvador (20th) this month. All were at home, and the team is looking to travel to England in September for its next A-match.


They already have one opponent lined up. On September 7, the team will play Wales in an exhibition match in England. Mexico is the likely second opponent.


"We are looking for an opponent for the trial among North and Central American countries, and we have recently started working discussions with Mexico," an official from the Korea Football Association said on Sept. 23. "As the game will be played in England, a third country, it will take some time for the trial to be finalized." 


The national team is yet to record its first win since Klinsmann took over in March. In doing so, Klinsmann set a new record for the most consecutive games without a win by a foreign manager in charge of the South Korean national team, 안전놀이터 surpassing Gus Hiddink's record of two draws and one loss in 2001.


Given that South Korea is ranked 27th in the FIFA rankings, behind 26th-ranked Wales and 15th-ranked Mexico, Klinsmann's first victory is likely to be delayed.


"We will try to bring results as soon as possible," Klinsmann said at a press conference on Nov. 22, adding, "We need to work harder and get one win. We should have won the last four games.
