Promotion-chasing Busan bolsters midfield with Jeon Seung-min signing from Jeonnam

 Busan IPark strengthens its midfield with the signing of Jeon Seung-min, formerly of Seongnam FC and Jeonnam Dragons. Goalkeeper Ahn Jun-soo heads to Jeonnam via trade.


Born in 2000, Jeon Seung-min is a central midfielder with excellent basic skills in dribbling, passing, and kicking. 


The left-footed midfielder can play in both offensive and defensive positions, making him a good fit for Park Jin-seop's diverse tactics. He was assigned the number 47 shirt.


Seung-min has been in the spotlight since his days at Baekamjung and Shingalgo, where he was selected as an age-group representative. He enrolled at Yongin University in 2019 and has been an integral part of the team since his first year. 


He helped Yongin win the 2019 U-League 1st Region title and the KBS N-Ball 16th 1st and 2nd Grade College Football Tournament the following year.


Joining Seongnam as a rookie free agent in 2020, Jeon was not given much playing time, and was loaned out to Jeonnam in 2022, finishing with three goals and one assist in 34 league appearances that year. 


With nine league appearances this year, Seung-min is expected to make an immediate impact in Busan's midfield.

 

"I'm happy to come to a good team called Busan IPark, and I want to adapt as soon as possible to help the team get 안전놀이터 promoted as they are doing well," said Jeon.


Ahn Jun-soo, who will wear the Jeonnam jersey in this trade, has played 32 league games in Busan since 2021, including 10 K4 League games with the Futures team this year.


Meanwhile, Busan, which opened the summer transfer window with the signing of Jeon Seung-min, is determined to take a step closer to promotion with an active transfer market.
